Applying for Grants and Subsidies

The purpose of the Lahti Industrial Association is to promote economic and social development in Lahti and its surroundings and to support education and research activities related to industry and business.

The Lahti Industrial Association carries out its mission by
  • supporting business education and communication, as well as technical and economic research and awareness-raising activities and projects
  • distributing grants and subsidies
  • acting in any other way to achieve its purpose

Grants, subsidies and awards are decided by the Lahti Industrial Association’s board. Grant applications and proposals for recipients can be submitted by private persons or organisations. Proposals are made or grants are applied for by filling in the electronic form on the Association’s website and sending it by e-mail to the Representative. The grant is ongoing. You can attach any attachments you deem most suitable to the application.

The Lahti Industrial Association can also award grants for master’s theses and final projects. The amount of the grant is usually 1000-4000 euros. If it so wishes, the Lahti Industrial Association may divide the grant between several applicants. The Master’s thesis should primarily have a connection to the region’s business and industry.The Association’s interest in supporting the project increases if the research focuses on the social or cultural development, business development or industrial heritage of the Lahti region.

The application must be accompanied by a research plan and a statement from the thesis supervisor as well as any recommendations.
